The future of Fremont County public lands is on the line, and it’s time for you to weigh in! Join us to get updates on the package of management recommendations made by the Fremont County Public Lands Initiative for our county’s wilderness study areas, including Sweetwater Rocks, Sweetwater Canyon, Copper Mountain, and the Dubois Badlands. We’ll walk through how to comment to the committee, the details of proposed management recommendations and designations, and all the ways you can help determine the future of these special wild places.

We’ll provide the first round of drinks and snacks, you provide the public comment. We’ll discuss the detailed management proposals and help you craft meaningful comments for the committee’s consideration. Your involvement is essential for developing community-based, broadly-supported management recommendations that may ultimately end up as Congressional legislation.
