The Lander community understands the value of a good education, for our children, and our children's children.

Fremont County School District #1 has a vital team of teachers and community leaders that will inspire, inform, and help cultivate curiosity in and outside the classroom.  While there are a number of options available for K-12 education, the local community is filled with opportunities to teach and learn.

For example, the Lander Art Center constantly has enrichment opportunities available, such as classes in: photography, painting, pottery, and even more social events like Wet Palette Wine & Paint nights.  Or, if outdoor education or recreation is more your speed, checkout the slew courses offered by NOLS (National School for Outdoor Leadership) from 2 weeks of backpacking in Scandinavia, to multi-month wilderness medicine, rock climbing, paddling, camping and more!

College students that want to live in Lander can take courses through Central Wyoming College or the Wyoming Catholic College, but the University of Wyoming is just a few hours away in Laramie!  More information about local resources here!
